Merging

Molly: I know you guys are trying. Dont act like you think i dont see it. I just think its sad that i’ll be on another army chat, and ill get 4 pc’s. All of which are telling me to come to TG chat and sort out some problem. Its especially sad when one of those PC’s if from TG’s main leader, who asked me to sort out the problem because he couldn’t deal with you guys. It took me a half an hour. Im not saying my opinion on the fight, but really. If these people WONT be nice to you, no matter how much you try to be nice to them, chances are, theyre TRYING to make you mad. They can imagine you sitting at your computer just getting mad when you see the “You have been banned” message. Then they unban you. So you start screaming, and having a fit. Thats what they want. They want to see your reaction. Then they bann you again. Im by no means saying this is right. But its what they do. I can help as much as possible. It dosent help that they stop right when i get on chat, as you guys tell me. But if someone is bothering you that much, remember their name. I cant do anything if you dont remember it. Also, if im on another chat, if i get a PC like this: “MOLLY ZOMG!!!~SOMEUONE JUSTBANNED ME!!!!” What am i supposed to do? Try staying calm, and taking a deep breath. THEN PC me. “Well Molly you werent online!” Tell an owner. Theyre most likely going to help you. Once again, they will just get annoyed if you talk IN CAPS. And yes, I see you trying, and it makes me gald that you try. But if something like this happens, dont stop trying. If you keep calm when they bann you, they’ll eventually stop. I was lurking once and i saw it happen. One of you just didn’t let it bother you, and they stopped. So just keep it in mind. Ill say it again. Being mean just makes the fight bigger. It dosent show them how tough you can be, it makes them see how fun it is to annoy you. So if anything happens, PC me or another owner on chat and tell them in a calm way. It does make a difference. And this will stop eventually.

Molly: I agree completely. Thats what ive been telling you guys all the time….. except a few hundred words longer xD

Gorge: Listen guys, I know it’s hard. No one is a fan of merging and I am a little stressed by this merge too. And yes, some of them curse (which I try to stop), and some of them ban and kick for no reason (Also trying to stop this) and some of them are mean (Guess what! trying to stop it) but we can’t just get all angry and just give up. I know some of you are angry and think that we have given them a chance already and yes some of them are just plain mean and you don’t even need to be friends with them, but there are a bunch of nice ones too. You think you can’t make friends with any of them but you can! If you just try. Now, some of you have tried but gave up. I don’t want you to try then stop and get all angry at them; I want you t try until they can’t take your niceness anymore and either ignore you or become friends with them. I know making friends is hard (Trust me I have like 3 friends in total in real life xD ) but if you try hard enough your likely to make at least one new friend.Ignore the mean ones, become friends with the nice ones. If someone kicks you for no reason: Ignore them,tell a leader, then MOVE ON. If your banned then it’s more serious and I would take a picture and show it to a leader. But seriously, WHO CARES if one of the mean people call you a name?! You really think they are better than you? You really think they have the right to tell who sucks and who doesn’t? They have just as much right as you do! Why are you letting a kid push you around?!!!??! For all you know, they could be younger than you! Why do you even listen to them? Don’t. Fight. Back. Fighting back makes it worse. This is how I deal with people who call me names or randomly are mean to me: Ignore it, maybe make one comment like “Words don’t hurt”, then move on. So just ignore the mean people. Don’t talk to them. And if they keep annoying you, contact a leader. But yelling at them and insulting them is the REASON they are insulting you. They want you to fight back and be mad And fighting back makes them more mad! And that makes you more mad! And that makes them more mad! (Ok, I think you get the point now….). And if you think you wanna retire and find an army that’s nicer…well you can try but trust me, it doesn’t get much nicer than this. Most army’s don’t even have the rule of no cursing. ALL armies have a couple mean people whether you like it or not. And there is not many armies left guys. There is only about a quarter of the amount of armies that were around at the beginning of this year. Getting mad and fighting will not help us try to bring back armies. Quitting will lead to the downfall of armies. We HAVE to stick together in this one. We can’t give up. We have been through fights, and arguments, and battles, and hard times but we are still here. I have worked sooo hard to make this army. About 8 months of visiting the site almost every day. Typing till my fingers feel (err I mean fell xD ) off and updating the site till I fell asleep on the keyboard (It happened to me 3 times!). And you guys are gonna let a couple of dumb people ruin this all?! Why would you let them do that?! If they are so mean why are you letting them ruin everything? Why don’t YOU just ignore them and let them bother someone else. YOU stand up to them (But not in an angry way…). YOU help save the army world instead of complaining and fighting. We can’t let this be the end. Many of you think this was a bad choice but the only reason you say that is because of a couple of hobos who are bothering you. Look at the size of our army and the full chats we get everyday. I know you guys wanted cheese army to be major some day. And now we are. Even if it’s not the way you wanted to become major. We are. Even if it’s noisy and sometimes crazy. We are major. We have tripled in size and I know that we can survive and maybe even be the biggest army one day. We can’t if you quit. If you want some peace and quiet then invite 1 or 2 friends to cheese chat to hang out for a bit (But please don’t start regularly going on cheese chat). I know It’s hard guys. I know the chat is noisy and some people are rude. I know some are being mean to you for no reason. You think I don’t know and don’t care. But I’m still getting used to being in charge of these people. It’s weird being in charge of people you don’t even know. Truth be told, I’m shy. I still have only banned 1 person n that chat although I’ve seen alot that should have been banned. I’m shy and I can’t help it. But I will get used to them. And If you guys try you will too. So guys the point of this giant speech (Now looking at it, it is kinda huge….ok not kinda, really huge) is that you have to try. And if you do, you will succeed (most of the time… xD ). Plus the whole cheese army is in the same group together! Look at the ranks page, we are all green (Same color as this speech…coincidence?). So we are still in a group as the cheese army and the green group’s capital is…White out. We will always be cheese and I will never forget it and I hope you will never forget it either. Now go out there and make some friends . Woah this might (Yes, MIGHT) be the biggest speech I ever typed. Err gotta go my fingers are about to fall off…right….now.

But we all need to stay together on this one *cough* waddle *cough*.  So please, give your new fellow soldiers a chance. Im sure theyr’e giving you guys one. Ok yes we are merging. Don’t freak out. We are doing this for our own good. We are losing members lately and I don’t know how much longer we could last. So I have decided to merge. With this merge we will probably be boosted up to a major army. We can have full chats, and tons of active members. You guys will ALL get ranks equal to your old ones. Gorge: I’m sooooooooooooooo sorry that I missed the practice battle. It’s getting very difficult for me to make it to events. I have basketball,soccer,football, and baseball to deal with, plus I have homework and I have to practice tuba and guitar (and I will be starting drums soon). I have art projects (Unfortunately) and have been staying after school a lot recently to help my band teacher and to catch up on some projects. I’ve been really busy lately and I’ll be lucky to make it to most events. I’m sorry that I’m becoming less active, but I can’t let a virtual game be my life. I’ll try to make it to as many events as I can and I will try my HARDEST to keep us up and running. Also, I have been thinking about electing a 3rd in command soon, but I have not decided yet…..Lastly, I hope more of you enter the contests on the holiday page or I’ll have to give all the credits to the only person who entered….

Ok. I have realized that alot of us have been slacking off a little. We can’t keep forgetting about training sessions and recruiting. We MUST remeber. I also really want you guys checking the site. Gorge: Well, I also sent a message of my own to clubpenguin. It’s a bit longer than yours  (actually a lot longer), but I would like to show it to you guys:

Hello,

I know you have been getting a lot of emails from different penguins that are in these groups called ‘armies’. There used to be many of us, all having snowball fights and having a great time. Now a lot of the armies have fallen and there are not many of us left. We really don’t want to be the last generation of armies. One of the reasons is a lot of the restricted words. A lot of us have to talk in slang and change the words a bit just so we can talk! For example instead of being able to say “My cousin is over and he wants to decorate my igloo”, We have to say “My cuz is here and wants to deck my iggy”. Some times this can get annoying to type like and also confusing. We realize that some of these words NEED to be blocked, like numbers and addresses so we can’t give away personal information while playing, but words such as ‘Search’ are important to us and may lead to the end of our groups. The only reason we need this word is so that other penguins can find our site and join in on the snowball fights and make club penguin more enjoyable. Many of our members have left our armies because we are falling and it is almost impossible to get people to join our armies now. In fact, a lot of us may quit soon because we can’t have fun on club penguin anymore because of the many restrictions. All we ask if is you would please let us continue making these armies and having fun with snowball fights and making tactics. These armies are the ONLY reason I still play club penguin or I would have quit club penguin years ago. I only hope that you will let us have the word ’search’ back so we can continue with our armies and let other penguins join in on the fun too! Another thing is that the old dojo is gone. Every single army used to love the old dojo. It was a big open space and a good place to plan snowball fights. There were no items or games in the way and we could have the freedom of running around. Now there is card jitsu there and every time we try to run and throw snowballs, that blue message saying “Would you like to play card jitsu?” pops up and we have to hit “no” and try again. We really miss the old dojo and though maybe you could make a path from the new dojo, to the old dojo. If you really, really don’t want to do that, maybe you could make a new room that was somewhat like the old dojo and has room for us to have snowball fights. Also, when I first joined club penguin (About 4 years ago), we had countries. I understand why you removed them, because people thought they could only play in their country. I have 2 suggestions on ways to bring the countries back. My first one is, that you have a message below the countries that says “Remember you do NOT have to play in your own country, try going to another country and meeting new people!”. My second suggestion, was to instead, make up you own countries. Instead of real country names, call them made up names (Probably something that has to do with ice) and make them their own flag! I have been around in club penguin for a long time and about 5 months ago I was about to move on and quit. Then someone mentioned armies to me. I was amazed at how AWESOME these armies looked. I joined my first one and loved it! Now I have made an army of my own and I’m having and having a great time! I now look back at the army I first joined and it is falling. I’m really sad about this and hope this is not my last couple months of playing club penguin. I took a long time typing this because I want you to realize what’s happening. I hope you consider some of these options. Sorry this is so long!

So yea, I tried to make it sound reasonable and not mention chat rooms so that they might listen to it. I’m still waiting for a reply, but when I get it (IF i even get one), I’ll be sure to post it. Ok, so as you may or may not know, a lot of people in CP armies have been emailing CP, trying to get them to do various things, such as, Un-filter words, Getting the Old Dojo back, and having a War Server. I saw a lot of other people doing it, so I decided to try myself. Heres what I sent:

Dear Clubpenguin,
I know you’ve heard of ‘Clubpenguin Armies’, because ive heard your response to some letters about them. Well I am one of the leaders of one of these groups. We heard how you filtered the word ‘Search’. We find this very unfair, and bad you you guys. Our groups make people play longer then they normally would have. I would have stopped playing (and paying for membership) awhile ago, if not for these groups. All we like to do is have a fun snowball fight, not much more. If you are afraid for little children’s safety, I have a suggestion for you. Make an exact copy of ClubPenguin, excpet Army Version. Make more ways to throw snowballs, you could buy guns for snowballs. And you could transfer your penguin from the regular Clubpenguin, but you would have to put your age in. There would be no filtered words. More open areas, like the snowforts, and all the games. Were just trying to have fun, but we do it in other ways, ways it seems you guys dont like, lol. We would like the game less if you didnt un-filter some words. Were just trying to have a good time, and we wish you would understand. There is no harm being done. And also, we would want the Old Dojo back. I wasnt around in the ‘Golden Ages’, but I wish I had been. ClubPenguin was simpler, and more fun. I hope you consider some of my suggestions, and please respond.

Thank you for contacting Club Penguin Support with your questions and suggestions.  Having a separate part of Club Penguin set aside for armies to war on each other would certainly be interesting, and would help keep the battles away from the regular servers.  We’ll look into your suggestion and see what we can do, however I cannot promise anything.  Club Penguin was created to be a safe place for kids to play and chat online.  Without the safety measures we have in place Club Penguin would not be suitable for anyone under the age of at least 16.

We can also look into bringing back the old Dojo without Card-Jitsu being in it.  Alternatively, you could purchase the Dojo igloo from the Martial Artworks catalog and keep it open for battles or training drills.

If you have any further questions or suggestions for Club Penguin please be sure to let us know, we’re always glad to help.

Thanks for adressing most of my points, but you didnt really adress the filtered words. I mean, yes “safety procautions” could be anything. Some of these words are important for us, like ’search’. Ive also noticed you’ve banned Joke Bombs and Emote Bombs. Its where we charge with jokes or emotes, if you didnt know. I was online yesterday with an army, and when they started doing it, the penguins disappeared off my screen. Ive also noticed that you have changed ClubPenguin time, and pushed it ahed 2 hours. This really affects all penguins, besides ones in armies. Thanks, and please reply.

Some problems

Molly: I want everyone to be careful, as some of us just saw bots on Snowfall.

Molly: Ive emailed CP quite a few times, and never got answers. So yea, imma keep bugging them until they respond, lol.

Ok, Well a couple of problems. First, during the last recruiting session, we discovered that the word “Search” has been filtered on club penguin, so it no longer shows up.  This is a MAJOR problem for all armies because we can’t recruit successfully anymore. I recently checked the nacho’s site and saw that they have been sending many complaints to club penguin about this problem. So far, the responses to these messages have been things like: “We are sorry, but we do not want children visiting other site because we have found that they have been giving away personal information on these”. It doesn’t sound like we will be able to say the word “search” on club penguin for a while. This could lead to a large drop in all army’s numbers but we have to find a way to recruit. This can’t be the end. We figured out a way to say Google (goo gool) and now we have to find a way to say search. We can try things like “Se arch” and separating the word differently. We can also experiment with different words and ways to make them visible. We will figure this out even if it takes a month. We have to. We also need a more effective way of saying the word Google because a lot of people on club penguin don’t understand “goo gool”. This may take awhile but we need to find a good way to advertise if   we really want to get bigger. I am also thinking of having  a lot of people send a certain message to club penguin asking them for certain words back. If i come up with a good message that will convince club penguin I will post it. If you have any ideas for the message you are welcome to comment them.

Ok, Next problem is chat. Our chat has been recently hacked. We have no idea who did it, but I have lost ALL control over the chat and I’m sorry, but we are gonna have to use the new chat from now on. It will look exactly like the old chat so don’t worry . Also, I want NO ACCUSING of who hacked the chat. For all we know it could have been a random hacker who had come across our chat. Accusing people only causes fights and makes it worse. I think we should all forget about it and pretend this new chat is our old one. I hope you agree with me and I will fix the link and the button on the toolbar shortly. Also, when the hacking happened, I had literally 7 people begging me to make them mod so they could “help”. Even though I told you guys it was hopeless you wouldn’t listen. Next time I suggest listening.

Another problem, is the practice battle we had earlier today. No one even knew there was one even though its right on the post 2 down in black and white (literally). Even if none of the leaders or the mods are there you guys can still practice. Don’t just say “Oh look, there’s no leaders here lets just talk and not practice”. Take the person with the highest rank and have them take over. Make lines, make circles, make decagons (Molly: a what???)(Gorge: A polygon with 10 sides so yea ) (i really think thats gonna take awhile to get xD) (That’s why I put the laughy symbol next to it pfft) (its scary to think about xD)…… So yea, I don’t want that happening again. I want everyone to be AWARE of the practice battle too. That leads me to talking about how little of you actually LOOK at the site. Some of you just come on the site and go strait to chat. I really want you guys to check the site and not talk all day. I also want you guys to comment even if it’s just a comment that say “ok”. I wan’t to know that you’ve seen the post even with a two letter answer (unless you want to put more than 2….). Ok, done with the problems.

Well yea I’m going to schedule another training. Here is the info for the Training:

Gorge edit: oops, by accident I wrote recruiting twice so the first one is gonna be the recruiting one and the last one is a training session xD

Well, at the last PB, I saw that some of you were out of battle mode because we havent had one in so long. A lot of you were goofing of and even forgot how to make a line. I want us to always be good at making lines and bombing so I’m scheduling a training session. We will not break up into teams. We will practice as a whole army. I want to at least be able to make a line, a J, and maybe try to make a circle. We will probably try other formations but those are the ones we probably want to practice. Also, I will put one f my other penguins out and we will practice bombing on him. During battles, I also hope all of you are on chat and listening to orders so your not lost in battle. Here is the info for the recruiting session:

Words shouldn’t hurt. Even fighting on PC is not the best idea,because if it is not solved on PC, they will continue fighting for more time and people will figure out your fighting, and take sides. Even if your fighting with someone you completely hate. Just STOP. If you really want them to leave you alone because they are being mean. Just stop and trust me they will leave you alone. If they are being mean, they WANT you to fight back. They WANT you to be angry. And by fighting your showing the other person what they want. The best way to solve it is to stop talking to them. They will leave you alone. And calling them names and fighting back only makes it worse. I hate having to break these fights up because when you guys are fighting you absolutely REFUSE to relax and ignore the person. You act like it is the end of the world and if you don’t fight back everything is going to end. Just STOP. If you stop we can actually have a good time on chat instead of constantly worrying about who’s fighting who and who hates each other. The fighting just makes your time in this army worse and needs to stop. And for those of you who say things like “We need to fight sometimes, we have to let it all out”. Well, you don’t have to let it all out on chat. If you let it all out and yell at someone on chat, they will be angry at you and fight back. If you let it all out on a pillow or something it would be a lot better. If you don’t like taking your anger out on a pillow then I suggest getting a stress toy that you can destroy if you are angry…. So please stop fighting on chat. I mean it, STOP……Sorry for the edit thats longer than the actual post xD..

Really, what IS going on? Why is it every time I come on I have to break up a fight, or deal with what happened? Its not like this is the first time, but this is the 2nd time TODAY. That, is sad. Why do we have to fight? this should just be a fun place to hang out, and go on ClubPenguin. But look what its turned into, a place full of fighting and other stupid stuff. It shouldnt be like this, it shouldnt be a place where you should think “When I go on chat today, i hope ________ isnt on, otherwise we will fight” You shouldnt have to worry about who’s on, or if your gonna fight. You shopuldnt have to worry if someone’sgoing to call you names, or make fun of you. It shouldnt be like that.For me, its not like that, its worse. Im not saying people call me names or anything, thats not that bad. I have to deal with the fights. I have to go through and figure out what happened. Then, I have to have everyone tell me to ban someone, just because. And STILL people thik im supposed to take sides. I dont do that, because im here to have fun. Not to fight. And fighting dosent only just effect the people fighting. Do you think the other people on main chat care what your fighting about? Uh, NO! So then they get dragged into the fight, and so does the next mod/owner on chat. Fighting on chat effects everyone, just remember that.
